Nine: Writing Week

I’ve been pretty busy over the last week I went to session 1 of Women in Horror at the Quad, a ZINE making workshop at Beeston Library and my writing group!

I’ll do separate posts on both courses when they’re finished. I can hardly comment half way though.

Aside from that I’ve also been run off my feet at work and busy socialising. Pancake party, a night out, family visits and trips to the pub (sometimes even the gym). I can hardly say no. It does leave me less time to write and I try and scribble anywhere I can in any spare moment. This weekend I’m going to sit and attempt to scale back on some activities to make more room to write for longer periods of time.

Another thing I’ve been making room for in my life is relaxing. Above are some of the succulents I’ve been growing. I had to re-pot them all as they were getting too big. It’s quite relaxing and now E laughs when I say I’m going to do a bit of gardening.

Relaxing also takes the form of treats. I treated myself to this magazine – Flow. I took a moment to sit with some chill music on, a candle and a Baileys coffee whilst perusing through Flow.

Playing with cats is also very relaxing and fun.

Here’s my desk. I was researching rucksacks. To the right are six prints I got for free in the Flow magazine. So I decided to stick them up in my study to add a little colour.

A close up of the prints. My favourite is the women gardening – what a surprise.

That’s it for this week hope you enjoyed my post. Feel free to comment below. I’d love to know what you’ve been up to.
